1C: 15+ NV / 16+ Vul points

(not 20-21 bal).
Maybe less with playing strength, esp at FAV (everything is one point lighter).
Also unbalanced playing strength hands with CLUBS (14-15 HCP) are routinely opened 1C
Hands with 5cM and 15 points should open 1C if BAL, but might open 1M if shapely
*NEW* Unfave, 1NT is 14 - 16 “balanced”, so 1C becomes 17-19 if Balanced.

RESPONSES TO 1C:

  • 1D: Art, (8)9+, ANY GF
  • 1H: (4)5-8(9), most hands.
  • 1S: Art, 0-4, ANY (not 7 card D,H,S is this true? 3d &h are major defers now)
